Mcintosh mt10 turntable help needed

Hi, I just purchased a used mt10. The tone arm looks crooked. I am wondering if anyone can tell me if this is the way it is supposed to be. I'm talking about the round circle that says Mcintosh at the back of the tone arm in front of the counterweight. Let me know if anyone knows

Here is a picture of what I am talking about. The turntable is level but the tonearm is not. It seems to be like this in some of the pics in line - but want to make sure this is right before I get into aligning it.

I do not have experience with this deck but something tells me a closer look at the leveling should fix this (I do see you mentioned that the table is level). If you dont have the manual check this one out for setup. For a last resort email Mcintosh.

Pretty sure the bubble level on the arm is for when you set it up, and it's cued onto a record playing.

You have three issues as far as I can see:

(1) The transparent circle that says 'McIntosh' is just a bubble level that appears to have been stuck on top of the arm - it is not part of the standard arm. It looks like whoever put it on got it a bit crooked, but that's nothing to worry about!

(2) The fact that the bubble inside this level is not within the centre circle means that the deck is not level.This will not cause damage but is not ideal, and, if the deck has adjustable feet, it need to be brought up on the right hand side (or down on the left) to level it

(3) Your arm rest/cueing platform is not pointing in the right direction - the silver pivot barrel of the cueing lever should be perpendicular to the arm on the right hand side, and the cueing lever bar roughly following the curve of the arm housing.There should be a screw beneath the arm you can loosen to straighten this.

As an aside, congtratulations on your purchase. Many people instantly deride this deck beacuse of its 'bling' appaearance, but it's a very fine turntable.

Put the counterweight a bit askew to the left and the tonearm will balance out a bit more to the right.I believe it is a unipivot arm similar to a vpi arm.

Agree. The Halloween glow is not my thing, but underneath is a Clearaudio sourced turntable.

It’s a conventionally pivoted arm, not a unipivot, even though it looks like it might be!

I've looked at pictures of that table on the net and didn't find one with the level on it. Someone added that to it?
