MCintosh terminal connection

Hey!

I am exited like a little boy - there is an MC 2105 that will be in my place in two days
I was wondering, how I could utilize my banana adapters. Furthermore, I have these "Lil Piggies Banana Adapters" which worked very well on my other gear. Now I've found a blog where someone uses something similar on his Mac, but I am not sure, if I understood "bypassing the binding post" correctly.

So, he bypasses the binding post because he attaches the bare wire of the adapter directly to the screw and by doing that, he achieves the bypass of the binging posts? And could I do this with the Lil Piggies? Pardon my ignorance, please.

Yep. #6 is the correct size.

Yeah, that is what i saw later lol - Why so many unnecessary connections?

Hi,
Yes electrical crimp terminal are ok just when the right crimper tool is used. Dont try visegrip or any other plier that is not intended for those terminals.

Hey Mackie, do you use these adapters yourself? How do you like them?

They also make an adapter with pin ends instead of spades. I’m thinking about using these adapters for my MA6200 (pins) and MA5100 (spades), to make for easier swapping between amps.

I applied deoxit on the spade before connect them. OCD probably. Tight firm and should be ok.

Thanks Mackie for the recommendation. I ordered the slanted pin version (replacing twisted bare wire) for the 6200, and the small spade version (replacing crimped-on spades) for the 5100. Very sturdy build quality, and everything fits great. This will make swapping between these amps a breeze. I may now order more sets for my other amps.
