MCS 2330 phono input question

Greetings, I purchased an MCS 3230 recently for my mother, she is 89 and love country music. I deoxit the pots and cleaned it up but the left channel on the phono stage is not completely audible. Tuner and tape inputs are fine on both left and right channels but the phono stage I only get right at proper
volumn. I have some soldering skills from redoing some EPI and KLH speakers so Id like to takle this issue myself , has anyone else come across this issue and or where should I look first? Thanks for any input. oh and I ended up giving my mom a realistic sta 47 that she uses every day.

did you deoxit the function selector as well?

yes i did, i even wiggled it to see if maybe that might change the volumn.

did you swap the left and right cables from the turntable , at the back of the receiver, and verify that the problem didn't change channels?

i can't be much more help. i see no schematic out there so i can't really give advice as to what you should do. ...

i personally would start mapping out the signal path thru the phono stage on the pcb and probe key points with my signal tracer to see where the signal is being lost and compare voltages on transistors between the channels.

someone else may have a better way of troubleshooting it so hopefully someone will chime in and guide you better.
