MCS 3125 Going into Protection at Half VU

Good Evening fellow Audiophiles, I recently acquired an MCS 3125 to use as my daily. However anything above 40%- Half VU and the Amplifier goes immediately into protection, NOT CLIPPING. It does this on all speaker channels, including the headphone section

Any ideas on what this could be?
