MCS 3222 plays both channels on radio but nothing else? Help a newbie.

So I recently got a free Modular Component Systems JCP 3222 because the guy said it only plays through one channel ( left speakers). I'm not saying it's a great receiver but it should serve me well as a beater and it has Japanese components
Anyway, when I use the radio tuner, both speakers play loud and clear. When I switch over to the AUX input, and plug in a cd player or a phone, only the left channel will play. The interesting part is that when I switch it over to "MONO" with an AUX input, both channels will play but it doesn't sound good. I'm pretty new to all of this stuff. I opened it up to check where the RCA cables connect and it seemed OK. Any specific areas I should look at? I can post pictures to help you help me diagnose this issue. Deoxit is your friend. Try using some on the selector switch and volume control.

Wow! that has fixed it for now. I usually do the deoxit treatment first but I didn't think this was an issue with contacts. Oh well, I'm still learning. Thanks for the advice!
