MCS 3253 Power Switch and Tuning Knob

I just picked up an MCS 3253 and have been perusing these threads for information on it. It is a beautiful receiver and is fully functional with 2 exceptions...

The power switch is broken off at the base of the "knob". It still functions but isn't optimal. I haven't found a source for a replacement and I am not sure I can fix this one. Any thoughts?

The other issue is the Tuning Knob... it is really stiff and I don't want to force it. The station needle does move when I turn the knob slightly but I am not wanting to move it too much till I get more information.

JB Weld would probably fix that broken shaft for the power switch. Get the 5 minute stuff and then let it cure properly.
