If I recall correctly, but stuff gets caught up under those buttons and lends to some twilight zone type of troubleshooting.
Total sucker punch until you discover thats all it was, some tiny thing under those buttons, lol
They feel normal when pushing them though.
 
I have a 3285, and think very highly of it. No, it's not the best thing since sliced bread, but it actually is a great sounding receiver. NEC built, with good quality stuff inside. It has FIVE separate power supplies! The buttons could be problematic, but mine cleaned up very well with DeOxit into the micro-switches themselves. Some of the logic controls could get wonky over time, but so far so good on mine.

Totally different critter than the 3275, designed to look minimalist modern, after the wretched excesses of the 3275.

Regarding price, actual shipping cross-country would come pretty close to what is estimated. :yikes: As a result, this will probably go cheap, unless someone on the East Coast snags it.
 
That has to be one of the strangest looking receivers I ever laid eyes on.I have a 3260 and it is quite attractive as far as receivers go.
 
I remember actually selling these as a 17 year-old kid back in '77. One of the first receivers I'd ever seen without a rotary pot or toggle switch - very fancy-schmancy back then. Also the TOTL MCS receiver for that year - in fact, it may have been the most powerful receiver MCS ever offered (soon after the 3285 was released, Penney's got out of the name-brand electronics business.) I'm tempted to bid on it just for the nostalgia factor.
