MCS 6700 with missing spindle. Easy to repair?

Looking at an MCS for my first TT and i found the super high end 6700 for about 150.

Needs a new cart and is missing the spindle to hold the record.

Is that an easy repair? I can get the new cartridge no problem but can the spindle be repaired easily? I read these are actually technics rebranding as a jcpenny in house. Cool history

So would a technics spindle replacement work so i can scoop this for a deal?

It is close to the Technics sl-1950. I would watch eBay for a spindle. I doubt you will find a multi play spindle but should be able to find a single
 
As Caryw stated, Technics spindle will work just fine. My 6700 didn't have the single play 33 spindle when I got it and I ended up with a Technics spindle.

I ended up using the stacker spindle until I found the single play spindle.

Good luck with your 6700. I do enjoy mine.
