Meal delivery services

My wife is tired of cooking and I'm not very good at it. We've tried a few meal delivery services and are looking for recommendations on others. There are lots of them.

Factor was fairly good.
Cook Unity had a better selection taste wise, but most meals have way too much sodium. We are sensitive to sodium.

We had our first Tempo meal today, and neither was impressed. We'll see how the rest of the week goes with Tempo, but expect to cancel it and try another. Tempo had a big selection the first week but not the 2nd week. I had a hard time finding 4 things that looked appetizing for next week. Tempo seems pricey too...

Any suggestions on other meal delivery companies to try?

Try here, but it is pick up. There are 2 locations in Chicago. We use them when I travel as the SO really sux at cooking.

Full disclosure they are proper portion sizes, so most Mericans' may want to eat 2 or 3 at a sitting.

They have meal plans

We tried Hello Fresh. The food was good, though nothing to rave about. The problem is that the price is not a deal, for the two of us. As for portion size, we only eat one real meal per day. So yes, I want a bit more than the anorexic portion size. :D

I like piddling in the kitchen, especially breakfast and pastries. My wife and I are both retired, time is not an issue.

The people that really need this are the working stiffs, with children, who eat out all the time.

These guys advertise as "Meals on Six Wheels!"
Yep, its a local autonomous robot food delivery service here in Fairfax,"Starship Food Delivery," that will actually come into the neighbor to delivery your order!
Its like a motorized cooler on wheels, and its actually pretty fast when the sidewalk is clear. (No deliveries with 6" of snow today)
Never tried it - what if its like the prequel to DALEKs with some kind of laser thing on the front, yelling "exterminate, exterminate, exterminate!"
You know, Vampires can't come into your house until you grant them permission - but Robots have no such rules!

Revisit home cooking. Soups and stews deliver more than one meal and can be frozen for later. So many types of soup. "Stews" can include a nice curry or Indian dish. Get a stack of those deli containers that the Chinese restaurants use for take out soup off Amazon or Ebay. Those work great in the freezer and you can just toss the container if it gets too greasy to reuse. A tomato sauce of some kind, like stewed tomatoes, zucchini, and garbanzos. Make fresh rice or pasta to accompany the dish. Cous cous. Add a layer of cut biscuits to the last of a soup and make dumplings.

I am alone now and still cook something from scratch a couple of times a week. The freezer is full of good stuff. That, and the cost cannot be beat.

I'm always amazed at the number of people on this site that ask for help, ideas, suggestions, etc., and then can't be bothered to even acknowledge any of the reply's; let alone to say thank you.

Rant over.

I'm not very good at it.
That reminds me of the adage, "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice." ;)

Any suggestions
Learn to cook. It’s a chore just like anything else. If you are sodium intolerant then all the more reason.
Can get mighty expensive to buy pre-paid food on a daily requirement.
My wife is not a very good cook either, so her job is to clean up the cooks messy dishes, I’d rather cook than clean :)
Experts all say the health way to live is to cook your own meals.
Everyone gets tired of cooking. In my case like last night I pulled out some frozen spaghetti sauce I had made up previously and boiled up some pasta. made a Greek salad with cucumber, red bell pepper, green onions, tomato, feta cheese, Kraft balsamic dressing, extra spices and some olive oil, real easy.

Above rant, member @satellite65 should know better, he reads and responds to a lot of my posts, it’s only common courtesy, or is that a thing of the past?

I put likes on the post which answered the location question for me, and on the one post that discussed an actual service.
I'm ignoring the learn to cook posts as off-topic.
I also consider Meals on Wheels as off-topic as it is for the needy.

In case anyone else cares, we're staying with Factor for now. They have the largest selection of weekly meals by far compared to others listed in my OP, they are tasty to this picky guy, and calories and sodium are not that bad.

One of the main reasons I posted in the first place is that most of these companies won't let you see a typical weekly menu until you sign up. I'm not going in blind...

And if signing up requires your e-mail (highly probable) they`ll most likely inundate your e-mail`s in box pushing with their daily/weekly food menu special offerings advertisements !
