MEASUREMENTS: Raspberry Pi 3 as USB Audio Streamer

Cool! Thanks for the link.
Coincidentally, I just got my own Raspberry Pi music server up and running last night. I used the Runeaudio operating system and I'm running it through a JDS Labs ODAC. It's a pretty neat little piece of kit.

Very nice writeup. I have to settle for a Pi2, Hifiberry Dac+ and Volumio. :)

My Dac+ arrived in the mail yesterday, along with a nice case. I opted for the steel case from Hifiberry so that the unit has a bit more weight to it so that cables and such are less likely to tip it over. I've been writing my TB+ of music to an external drive (it's taken the better part of a day!) and then need to flash Volumio to my SD card. Hopefully I'll be able to play around with this tomorrow.

dodog, please post a writeup on your impressions. I'd like to set two up (via wifi) for my two boys to access their music on my NAS server for the systems they each have in their rooms.

Will do. I got it all set up and temporarily set up Volumio, then UL'ed all my music to an external drive. However, my listening room/workbench/disaster is currently occupied with a Pass Aleph J, all the parts wires, etc. I owe it to myself to finish that first, then I can get back to listening to tunes. I'll update when I get my act in gear.
