Measuring Capacitance from Female Jacks

I have a Mitsubishi LT-30 that had its RCA leads done replaced with female jacks. I am using an Audio-Technica cartridge and seem to be experiencing some of the high frequency hijinks that are attributed to too much capacitance. I understand that normally I would measure capacitance from the edge and center of a male connector but am unsure how to measure it with a female connector. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

With the cartridge disconnected, plug the RCA leads you intend to use into the turntable, and measure it that way. This will tell you the capacitance of the cable plus the internal turntable wiring, both of which coubt toward total capacitance.
