I bought an EAR 845 Phono preamp from MeatInStereo.
The unit works fine, is unscratched, and sounds fine. Actually, I'm not quite sure how good it sounds yet . . . it'll take some time.
I did an A/B check with my MacCormack phono stage and the primary differences were:
1. solid-state soundstage (Mac) vs tube warm involving soundstage (EAR)
2. Instrument separation tips to the EAR.
Anyway, this unit was exactly as described, Meat was informative and conversational, the unit was packed very well, shipped promptly and handled professionally.
Top marks to someone I'd buy from again.
