Mega Millions Jackpot....$540 million

If I win, I think the first thing I'd do is buy my dog, Max, a big ol' steak, a beer, then take him to the local animal shelter and see if I can rent him a "sweetheart" for the night.

You owe me a new keyboard!!!

I was able to clean off the display, though:)

Not even close at this end. I guess it's back to work on Monday!

However, I got all the numbers spread across a few different tickets (including the group purchase at work.) If I was to take some scissors and glue and assemble the winning numbers to one ticket, would I win? :D

I didn't win. Wasted $4 too. Luckily I didn't drive 200 miles or wait in line for hours. I just bought the tickets on Wednesday while at the grocery store.

.....176 million-to-one were the chances of winning....I'd call that "Pie In The Sky"....sadly, the people who mainly support the lottery are the ones who can least afford to do so....the lottery was voted "in" a year ago here in Arkansas, and I hated to see it happen....sure enough, there's now lines at lottery outlets every day in the poorer sections of town.....buyin' those scratch-offs....winning $20 every once in awhile....just enough to keep the hook set.....

Last night at the corner store I saw a woman who looked pretty down and out, spending $160 on lottery tickets. She had all her numbers printed out in advance. Kind of depressing.

Meanwhile I was buying beer, because I know that’s gonna pay off.

Poor ol' Max. I got up this morning, and he was sitting at the back door wearing a bib and holding a knife and fork. I told him the bad news and gave him a biscuit.

Thank God he forgot about the animal shelter..............

I see that one of the winning tickets was sold in Maryland.
Who knows, maybe one of my kids living there hit it?

Well, if you didn't win "us" any money, can I at least have a biscuit too? :D ;) One of the winners was in Baltimore, and I have an Ex there. Maybe I should watch the B'more news, to see if I should re-enter her life? :lmao: ;)

Ok BP!

I have seen enough now, so I am catching the next Red Eye flight to come & give you some consultation! :D

You'll have to drag me out of the nearest Indian Casino.

I would have won, but didn't because I didn't buy a ticket. They don't sell tickets here. That's okay, though: I'll win it the time it really beats the odds by rolling up one more time, hitting an even billion bucks, and then I'll be the sole winner, and the first truly out-of-the-blue Instant Billionaire!

(Hey, since it's all nonsense dreaming anyway, I might as well dream BIG, right?! :D)

Seriously, I hope the people who did win find their lives greatly enriched (in the best senses of the word, not just monetarily), and at the same time manage to enrich the lives of those around them. All too often, lottery winners have their lives nearly ruined by sudden wealth, combined with an un-preparedness to handle it.

Definitely. Just think how much easier it would be to make those risky, potential career-dissipating decisions. :)

Damn, my 5 picks were no way close! :pity: So, guess I can't tell my boss to stick it. :finger:
But we did get our income tax refund, which was a nice amount! :smoke:

......nada.....zilch.....nothing.....zero.....

Well, there's always next time................................

Some guy in front of me at the store bought 2600 tickets. If his picks were anywhere close to mine, I'm sure he's punching himself in the groin as we speak!

Especially when you consider, the Maryland winner only bought 1 (one) quick pick ticket, for a dollar. :D
