I've got a Melos GK-1 pre amp coming soon. I won't say the exact price that I bought it for, but it was very reasonable 
. I use a vintage Yamaha C-70 SS right now. The Melos is the exact opposite of the C-70. No tone controls and tubes. Really close to the "straight wire with gain" school. Anyone have comments about this pre amp? My unit has not been modded in any way. I've heard the wonderful "life" tube equipment brings to my JBL compression driver/horn/lens combos using a VTL stereo 45 EL34 based valve amp. I'm extremely excited about the prospects
