MEN220 Configuration for Low Pass (SVS SB 1000 Pro)

New user to the Forum and seeking some guidance from experts here on configuring my Mcintosh MEN 220.

My Stack:

Mcintosh MA8900 Integrated amp + Mcintosh MT 2 Turn Table + Mcintosh MEN 220 + Sonus Faber Sonetto VII + Pair of SVS SB 1000 PRO + Parasound A23 Power Amp + Sonetto V
Cabling: (Primary Listening Area) MA8900 Pre out 1 to MEN 220 , Men 220 Output 1 (full range) to MA8900 Power Amp input, MEN 220 Output 2 Low Passed to SVS SUB LFE.
(Living room [Secondary] Listening Area )Mcintosh MA8950 (Preout 2) + Parasound A23 Power Amp + Sonus Faber Sonetto V

On my MEN 220 I have output 2 set to lowpass and connected it to LFE input on my SVS sub, should I Disable the LFE crossover setting on the SVS and also set the phase to 0 and let MEN 220 do its job? By doing so the SVS sub being an active sub woofer would just amplify the IP it gets on the LFE input without any freq cutoff ?

Is my understanding correct, if not would appreciate if I can be educated on the right way to setup the MEN 220 in my primary listening area. Intent I want to achieve is Sonetto VIIIplays full range while the SVS sub pair aids the lows.

depends on how you have the Men 220 configured. I would just use the filter on the sub and leave output number two full range of the Men 220 as I remember. I am now using the Room Perfect on my MX 151 HT processor. So don't need the 220 anymore.
 
I use my MEN220 as a stereo two way crossover, I dont even use the Room (not)Perfect, you will need to be able to measure phase/Magnitude vs frequency to set it up correctly.
There are a number of crossover filters available with different slopes depending on what you're trying to achieve....

Without being able to measure properly its really just shooting in the dark...

Yep. Kev's spot on and it would be to your advantage to pursue proper setup around the 220 given you have it.
