Hello all, long time/no post. I've been lying low while other house projects take the lead. I really like the old Philips turntables, so when this one came up on FM for a reasonable price I grabbed it. The belt had melted away, no surprise there, and the motor wasn't spinning when I first got it, but a little clean up and a little oil and it is now functioning. All the rubber belt-gook is gone, and it looks real pretty for a 60 year old table. I've read that the cartridge/stylus are unobtanium, but I haven't had a chance to see if they're working without a belt. Which comes to my problem. Does anyone know of a source for this seemingly pretty rare turntable? It's a round belt, not flat. I found a source in Germany but I'm not willing to pay VAT, import tax and shipping for it. If anyone has this table, could you get me the measurement of the belt? Maybe I could find an alternative that works. OR is there a way I could make one if I found out the right circumference? I'm a heck of a DIYer so I'll try anything that might work. Thanks in advance, AK has never let me down.
