Messing around with Head shell designs

the Last thread that Andre started about his Beautiful head shell got shut down because some
asked if they could buy them. So please DO NOT do that for this thread.

As Andre built his head shell I too was thinking of making my own as well.

In the process you end up with a bunch of pieces of wood wasted. So i was browsing
head shells on e-bay and saw the Orsonic ones and thought , hey I can use some of those
scraps and mess around with that style.

here is a very very very rude design concept so far. Lots more to think about but I was bored and
this is what happened when I'm bored.

Any one else ever make their own head shells? Post them here if you did.

Like the concept!
in special each will sound different.
If you can make it slice on the brass rod will be cool!

thank you!

Andre.

Yes, it does slide on the brass rail and the cartridge screws press against the rods to hold it in place.

I also have some brass tubing which would make it lighter.

Still playing with that and the all wood one. Routing the slots is a pain!!! i need to find a better way, or make a better jig. My Dremel router moves out of place to easy.
I need to make it more stable from side to side.
