Hey all!
Picked up this Micro Solid 5 today in near perfect condition. Haven't fully set it up yet, but I've got it on the rack and I've played a few records with the Grado Black that was included with the table. The tonearm is a pleasure to use, it's been holding it's speed well and is quite the looker! I'm not a huge fan of the Grado cartridges, but this deck seems to play well with it, and I'm not getting any of the Grado hum I've experienced on some other setups. I've gone through the whole table, and I think the only issue is that the bubble level has dried up, but I think that was to be expected.
Does anyone have one of these tables that can recommend another cartridge/stylus to throw on this thing? My preference leans toward Nagaoka, but I also have some Shure and Ortofon setups that I enjoy as well, but I'd love to explore some new options. Any other tips or tricks?
