I bought a BSR EQ-3000 with spectrum analyzer and pink noise generator at a thrift store.
Of course mine did not come with the original included microphone
According to the EQ-3000 manual, the original Mic that came with this model was an Omnidirectional Electret Condenser Mic, 600 ohm, 1.5 volt (supplied by the EQ-3000), Frequency response 50-13000Hz. The frequency range seems strange to me since the lowest band on the EQ-3000 is 31.5Hz and the highest is 16,000Hz.
Do I need to match the 600 ohm impedance exactly? I saw one that stated
1 kohm.

The BSR EQ-3000 manual states to use only the included mic as a dynamic mic will damage the unit.
Specs for the Analyzer section of the BSR EQ-3000 states:
Input Impedance (MIC Jack): 2.2 kohm
I also read the following on another site:
"It is important to recognize that the impedance of a microphone should not be matched to the impedance of the device to which it is connected. Doing so will cause a significant loss in signal level. Ideally, a microphone should be connected to a mixer's input whose input impedance is higher than the output impedance of the microphone."
Any suggestions?
