Microscope for stylus viewing!

OK, I tried but just can't get the small handheld tube viewer to view anything, so I bought an inexpensive microscope, waiting for it to arrive.

The viewing powers are 150x, 300x, 600x. I'm guessing the 150 and 300 will be adequate for stylus viewing?

Not really.

This is what mine does:

But, if you want to view wear on your stylus, it will cost you $$$.

Good luck.

have a ''usb scope'' love it-don't look at your finger tips-you'll never eat finger food again.

If you want to view wear, read Sparky's sticky in this forum.

QFT.

Please read it. It has all the answers you seek. It will not cost you big bucks. The type of microscope you need can be obtained for $150 or so every day on eBay. Keep an eye on estate and tag sales and you'll do even better. I got a very nice and very suitable 'scope at an estate sale for $35, and it had even belonged to a Nobel laureate in physics!
