--Microsoft Releases Critical Updates
(April 11, 2007)
Microsoft released four critical security updates on Tuesday, April 10.
Three of the updates address security flaws in Windows; the other
addresses a vulnerability in Microsoft Content Management Server
software. Microsoft also released an updated version of a fix for the
animated cursor (ANI) vulnerability. Microsoft originally released that
fix a week ahead of schedule, but there were reports that it was
incompatible with a handful of third-party programs. The update
released earlier this week addresses those incompatibility issues.
Microsoft also released one update with a severity rating of important
as well as an updated version of its Windows Malicious Software Removal
Tool.
