Mid-Atlantic Spring AK Gathering cancelled

A long-time friend I first met in 1974 who was a co-worker for nearly 20-years and about to retire, went into a VA hospital for bladder issues and came out COVID positive. He died within a week. And, of course, the ER doc in NYC who caught COVID and "recovered" only to exhibit severe mental issues and was brought to my city by her sister where she committed suicide, struck a bit close to home—literally.

Good call on postponement. Looking forward to repeating my one-time attending whenever possible and hoping someday to even host—if you all want to take a break from providing such excellent hospitality in the future. (Need to finish the basement suspended ceiling!)

Congratulations to your Mom Barry for beating the virus!

Hoping everyone stays safe and healthy so we can all get together when this pandemic is over!!

Mom is testing free of covid, who would have thought an 87 Year old woman who lives in nursing home would beat this! She’s gonna outlive me!

My dad tested positive. He is 87, lives in an old folks home but has his own apartment. He was sick for 3 weeks but is now recovered, a little worse for wear but OK. He has COPD and asthma, from what I read he should of been a goner. We still don't know much about this thing, there looks to be varying degrees of infection.

Thanks, Jim, for thinking of us slobs and appreciate your open door policy when it comes to hosting the social for the anti-socials.
