Mid South Audio Club? Nashville as home base?

2x’s

Ears for Beers
I just joined AK but there’s a lot of members around Nashville! It would be great to start an audio club down here. There’s many knowledgeable people in the area both on the production, and end user sides. I think it could be a unique audio club. People who create, those who consume, and everything in between!

It sounds like a great idea. I am new to all of this, but very interested in learning more. I also live in Murfreesboro, but willing to travel. I have yet to experience a true Audiophile system. Mine is piece milled parts bought in garage sales, goodwills, etc.

I’m also working on getting there, I bought a bunch of mid-Fi gear and have heard great. I’d love to get a group of us together by the end of the summer!

Thats great, working on several projects. (outdoor amphitheater, Indoor home theater, and vinyl / digital in my living room. My biggest thing right now is trying to teach myself electronic repair. I have several broken recievers that I bought for nothing and now would like to use. Would be really great to get someone technical in the group.

Hey Wes no progress, any ideas? Maybe we could get a Sunday hang with whoever is interested and have a cold drink and chat?

Haven't been on AK in a while, not sure why!
We just moved just a place that's between Smyrna and Murfreesboro (from Austin, TX).
Anyways, I'm building a new home office system with Emotiva/MiniDSP gear (active 4 way crossover) right now.
Hopefully we can all meet up sometime.

So, Dr. Humboldt, looks like you're a fellow Empire owner.
I've had a modded 208 for quite sometime. Love this table.

Right after we moved here from Austin, we rented a house on a horse farm in Franklin for a year.
That was cool.

I’d be in. I know a few other AKers in the area who would probably want to do something like this too.

Just moved to Crossville from Austin, TX area. Sounds like a great idea, especially the part about getting a little technical expertise involved. Seems this area isn't just full of folks who can fix this stuff. I love Tennessee, but I miss Pyramid Audio in Austin!!
Still HOOK'EM............had to come out sometime.

What’s up guys. There’s been a s#i+ load of people moving to Nashville from all major and minor metropolises. I think it’s time to get a Middle Tennessee AK group together. Or, if I missed where a group has already started, for the love of all that is good and holy, invite me for goodness sake’s!

any memphis area audiophiles here? i dont wanna drive to nashville, but id sure luv to get together with some nearby audiophiles..

I just saw this. I was wondering if there was a group yet? I am a member of the Music City Vintage radio club but meet has been changed to over the KY line. That makes it over a two hour drive one way. I would be interested in a audio club like this if it was started as I am getting into restoring amps. If I had a big enough place I would offer to have it at my shop about an hour from Nashville.

I’ve considered hosting a meetup at my business 10 minutes south of downtown Nashville. However, business has been so good that I haven’t had anytime to pursue it further.

Im up in the mountains out past Knoxville but i'd def be inclined to come out if such a thing happened and scheduling allows.

I would attend for sure. With all the audio things going on around here I still can't find a local group.
