Anyone else seen this folk horror film yet? The wife and I watched it late afternoon this past Saturday and I have to admit that it really messed up the rest of the night for me even though the kid was out of town for the weekend (/sad trombone).

My immediate reaction to it was a feeling of disgust over the overly graphic and gruesome visuals in some parts of the film, but at the same time there were many aspects of the film that I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, I thought it was a well crafted film with a compelling story, it just made me quite squeamish. However, given time distance since seeing it, the more I have enjoyed it. It certainly has been living in my head rent-free since then.

I have not and since I'd also never heard of it, had to look it up to see what it's about. Sounds gruesome but also sort'a interesting (intriguing?). If I remember, I'll grab a copy it when it hits the trackers and then have look at it.

I saw this a few months ago. The ending really had me on edge for a while until I revisited the movie recently. I better understand the movie now and and way things happened. The irony is that this movie, which is mostly the beautiful scenery of green grass and colorful flowers, was very dark. Even more so than some movies that have a matching dark setting.
