It was a very good week finding CD's in the thrifts week but I hit the real score came this morning when I stumbled onto a GW that just opened a couple of days ago. Sitting among the usually suspects was a copy of "Kind of Blue" which grabbing an extra copy would have made me happy enough but when I pulled out to make sure the disc was there I saw it was not only a SACD but a multi-channel SACD :banana::banana:

I ended up with 10 other discs and then went on to another thrift which was having a St Patrick's Day CD sale (75 cents each) and in addition everything in the store was 20% of that could be fit in a paper bag.

Here is what I ended up with this week;

Rock-Pop-Jazz etc

Aereosmith -Toys in the Attic
The Band - To Kingdom Come (The Definitive Collection Vol. 1 and Vol. 2)
Eva Cassidy - Method Actor
Mary Chapin Carpenter - Stones in the Road
CSN - CSN 4-Disc Box set with Booklet
Eric Clapton & BB King - Riding with the King
Christopher Cross - Christopher Cross
Bob Dylan - Time Out Of Mind
Marvin Gaye - Every Great Motown Hit
Grateful Dead - Grateful Dead
Grateful Dead - One Hundred Year Hall
Jefferson Airplane - The Worst of The Jefferson Airplane
Little River Band - Greatest Hits
Mike & the Mechanics - Word of Mouth
Joni Mitchell - Shine
Pink Floyd - Meddle
Pixies - Doolittle
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols
Bruce Springsteen - Born In The USA

Classical

Handel Messiah - Sir George Solti/Chicago Symphony (London Records)
Die Walkure - Sir George Solti/Wiener Philharmoniker (Decca Records)
Copland - Leonard Bernstein/New York Philharmonic (Sony Classical)
Beethoven Overtures - Herbert Von Karajan/Berliner Philharmoniker (1966 Deutsche Grammaphon)
Beethoven 9 Symphonien - Herbert Von Karajan/Berliner Philharmoniker (1963 Deutsche Grammaphon)

The only downside is I have to hit the road and won't be able to listen to them very much this week.

Nice!
It doesn't surprise me that you found that at a thrift. Sony packaged that disc with some of it's "budget" SACD capable DVD players about ten years ago. That is how I got my copy. I bet as those 10+ year old players start dying, or are replaced with better players, those KIB SACDs are useless to many people.
I love all of my Sony/Columbia SACDs. Sony dropped the ball with how they handled SACD, IMO, but they released some nice discs.
