mini bass horn

Hello,

what do you think about a double mini bass horn
86 dB down to 35 Hz with this driver?

http://www.tb-speaker.com/detail/1230_04/w2-1625s.htm

Mini bass horn for 2 x Tang band W2 1625S, again with membran movement cross setting and variable bass horn mouth distance,
Projected 87 dB 1 W 1m to 35 Hz,
Dimensions: 65 x 65 x 10-11 cm

Ideal as a flat wall bass, or as a satellite place,
As a desk, chair, two-seater with appropriate stiffen both parts.

Radiation freely selectable, up, down, right, left.

Horn throat 7 qcm ! short Horn 2.65 m, 3.5 m long horn

'mini bass horn' - I think it goes against the basic rules of science to use those 3 words together. :)

Free air resonance is 90 hz. You aren't going to get much below that.

Also, you can't scale down a horn and get the same frequency response. It is physically impossible.

My guess is that it reads "86 dB down AT 35 HZ. Not 'Down to 35 HZ."
Big difference.:D

minibasshorn

Hello,

thanks for the replies,

IMO does it work, if you use
membran movement cross setting and bass horn mouth distance.

please look the measurements of the TROMBONE, driver 125 Hz resonanz
down to 34 Hz
http://www.hm-moreart.de/89.htm
google translate may help or better
compair the measurements of the KORNETT with the simulations,
http://www.hm-moreart.de/104.htm
explanation at the bottom.

Physically is the minibasshorn nearly the same effekt.

If someone told me the effect of my double horns five years ago, i would laugh and kick him.

Well, babelfish butchered the technical discussion on the first site and the 2nd wasn't much better as far as understanding the English part. However, from what I could decipher it looks like a play on the phantom fundemental. My guess, from what I could read is that there are 2 drivers playing different frequencies and using the beat frequency between them to excite a horn at a frequency lower than the resonance of either. Of course that's just a guess. Anybody speak German and English well enough to give a meaningful translation?

Hello,

look the simu of the impedanz of the KORNETT,

scroll up and look the real sum

below ~50 Hz flat 4 Ohm

look the single simulations

compair it with the real measurement of the whole system and
specally the horn mouth frequenz range of the small horn

you see what happens, theoretically impossible I know, but what shall i do the effect is real.
Look therefore also the SAXOPHON and POSAUNE, the step response
of the Saxophon is better as can be!!!
