hi folks

i have a problem with this minidisc portable recorder .its a MZ-N10.

after buying it on ebay, i read about how the internal battery doesnt last long, i understand that but i have a problem. i drained the newly purchase MD recorder internal battery, so i put it on charge and found it said it will Finnish charging the whole internal battery in like 9mins, it finished charging so i tested the player, well it only was on for like 4 mins then went flat. so i tried charging it again and it said it would be finished in like 3 mins, so now the battery is dead and i cant re charge it. any ideas what this is?

Thanks alot

The battery is toast. I have 2 mini disc players, both Sony (one also records) and the battery for the recording one will not charge anymore. The battery for mine is an LIP-8 and until recently, there were no replacements. Now there are: http://www.batteries-chargers-shop.com/MD-player-batteries/products.php/SONY/LIP-8/

There is also a regular battery box attachment for most Sony mini-disc players that use regular AA batteries. You may not have got that with your ebay purchase, but you might find one on ebay if you go looking for it.
