Mirage M1

That seems like a great deal, but I would check around for tweeter availability before doing anything. The M-1 tweeter was a very special hand made one, the later si have a more mass production friendly unit and even those are hard to find. I have been trying without luck for over a year to find 2 for my back/for parts pair of M3-si. With one of four tweeters working properly they would not be of much use.

The other thing to keep in mind is how demanding the M1 are. The set up pictured is ludicrous. They like a huge room, bigger than most people have. The M3 sounded far better in most domestic settings, even larger than average ones. They are also pretty demanding in terms of associated equipment.

So a tempting deal but make sure you know what you are getting into.

I sold my M1's a few years back due to two tweeters out, and couldn't find replacements. They share the same tweeter as the Energy Reference 22 IIRC.

I contacted this seller and he was not told about the tweeters when he bought the speakers, so he just wanted to recoup some of his investment, and he started off at $1000, found the tweeters weak, priced at $500, and now $400. I was wonderng if I can replace four tweeters with Vifa ones having similar characteristics?
