Mis-heard lyrics

I started typing the Title as Misunderstood Lyrics, but realized that wasn't quite what I was wondering about. (Although it might make for an interesting thread.) We probably all have experienced when we "knew" a lyric, only later to find out we were wrong. What are your examples.

One example is Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze with "while I kiss this guy/the sky"

A more recent one, which I am certain I am wrong about is The Decemberists - Fighting For song where they keep repeating "kung pao"
Perhaps I need to listen to that somewhere other than the car.

Anyway what lyrics have you mis-heard? :)

When I was a kid, I thought Elton was singing, "You know its better than a Pakastani..." rather than "I read it in a magazine..." in Bennie & The Jets.
 
my sister thought ELO's Evil Woman was "Medieval Woman".....which would potentially have been the only modern song about a medieval woman....no offense to all the medieval women out there
 
A friend of mine in HS thought the lyric "don't fear the reaper" from Blue Oyster Cult was "don't spill the reefer".
 
For years I thought Emerson, Lake and Palmers line, "Soon the Gypsy Queen in a blaze of gasoline" was so morbid. Then, to my relief, I realized it was "glaze of Vaseline."
 
I was sitting in the hotel bar the first time I heard Play that funky music, white boy and near about fell off the bar stool.
