Mission Cyrus 1 paired with KEF Q100?

Hello everyone!

I'm working on building a system for listening to vinyl and wanted to hear your thoughts.

I currently own a Cyrus 1 amp and was hoping to pair with the KEF, would 25 watts per channel be enough to properly power the KEF Q100's?

I know they are rated 10watts-100watts but I was hoping the Cyrus would be able to give them enough juice to get that bass to really hit. It's going to be my main set up in a small room.

Thoughts?

Anybody had great success pairing a different speaker with the Cyrus 1?

First gen plastic case or later metal case? I used to sell both and they were pretty capable amps, should be fine in a small room. Not sure the combo will give the kind of bass you are looking as I am not familiar with the speakers.

How old is your Cyrus? It might benefit from a recap - my Cyrus 2 did. If your Cyrus has any of those brown bakelite caps, examine them for cracks. If they are cracked, they are most likely bone dry, and your amp will sound bad.

It's a later model Cyrus One, all metal. It has a headphone jack, but someone had replaced the push button with a toggle switch and painted the metal frame all black. I'm assuming that they replaced the caps/cleaned all the pots, the amp sounds excellent with my 1973 Advents.
