Mississippi Hi-Fi Audio

First time to post here, but have read a ton of threads over the years.

A buddy of mine is from Mississippi and redoing an outdoor living space. We are running speaker wire in-wall and thought it would be cool to incorporate something vintage in one of the zones.
My question is: Does anyone recall a speaker, amplifier manufacturer that was headquartered or had manufacturing in Mississippi? For example, the Bolivar speakers from Bolivar, TN. Or Rich Acoustic speakers from Dothan, AL. Or Norman Labs speakers from Norman, OK.)
May there was a small shop that briefly manufactured speakers or any audio equipment in Mississippi? If so, I would love to know the brand.

Look for a pair of vintage Savard 3-ways. IIRC, they were built in Mississippi. Possibly Louisiana, but I think ole Miss.......

EDIT: It was Louisiana, Baton Rouge, specifically. They've been doing car audio for years now, but the old 3-ways did sound pretty good.

What part of Mississippi is he from? There’s only two parts that are important and key to whether he is deserving. There’s Oxford, Ms where those hottie toddy cowbell ringers can’t even explain what the hell that saying means, and there’s everywhere else in the state. So does he tote a cowbell around like he’s waiting for Bruce Dickinson and Blue Oyster Cult to enlist his cowbell prowess, or is he normal?

I can’t help you with any hardware made in MS, but he might like a Blues crossroads poster like this:

He is originally from Starkville! lol
So he is one of the normal ones. Hoping one arises. I thought about Peavy but they didn’t do any home audio I don’t believe.
Hoping someone has one for us. We shall see!

This is the type company I’m looking for. Small operation, only in Mississippi. I think Savard was out of Baton Rouge, like you said.

You could use a Peavey CS-800 power amplifier or two, those were built in Meridian, Mississippi.

The only one close that comes to mind is Peavy (spelling??)

Please. Hotty Toddy and those abominable cowbells are two completely different things. The latter being wielded by fans of Mississippi State (aka Moo U, Cow College, or “the udder school”. They are not allowed in Oxford, the home of Ole Miss which has sole claim to Hotty Toddy.

And as a lifelong Mississippi resident, I’m not aware of any consumer audio speakers that have ever been made in the state, but perhaps someone else will be able to enlighten all of us. Good luck on the project.
