Anyone that's built a plinth or plans on building a plinth should check out the grand daddy of all plinths, the Mitch Cotter B1 plinth that dates back to the mid 1970s. There's one now on Audiogon turntables/auctions, seller claims it's 100 lbs +. I'm thinking it might be closer to 200 lbs +.
