Hey all,
My dad had a nice Mitsubishi Hifi setup from the late 70s. A few years ago he had a technician from some company in the city come in and get it working again. We’ll let’s just say he didn’t do the greatest of jobs (he stole the matching cassette deck, said it was broken and gave us some pos replacement) and the power meter hasn’t worked since. So I took everything off his old hifi rack (had to replace the castors) and cleaned the dust off of everything. I’m just wondering if anyone’s got any advice ( or a replacement cassette deck) while I put this beauty of a hifi setup back together. It has all (and extra) remote wires, but I there’s gonna be an extra spot on the preamp. I have the matching turntable (Dp-ec20), do I plug it in there?
Here’s my idea right now :
Tuner + turntable + cassette deck (grumble) into preamp. Preamp leads into the power meter input. Power meter output into amp. Amp to speakers (celestion dittons) . Plug amp into switched plug on power meter so I can turn it all off from the front.
Anyone got any ideas ( or even a broken cassette deck) for me?
