Mitsubishi LT-20 To buy or not to buy?

I have the opportunity to buy a Mitsubishi LT-20 from the original owner. It was fully serviced a month ago with the receipt to prove it. It also has the original cartridge which seems to be in great condition. At $300 is this a buy? This is my first real turntable and I'm trying to get something nice in the $300-$400 range. This one seems like it could be it? Or should I keep looking? If so what would be the ideal table in that range?

They are well under-rated in general. All brands have low to high-end models, but imo, some of the Mitsubishi TT's are much better built compared to Technics and Pioneer of similar price. I believe the market for them was much bigger in Japan than here in US.

Linear table, can be finicky to setup at first (I've heard), but many report how nice it is on this site (not me personally, never owned one). Search for the table on the site, you'll get more info than you need.

I love my lt-30 and I’m not really a linear tracking Tt guy.

Yea, I was hoping since it just got serviced it would sound pretty sweet straight off the bat.
