Mnpctech feet for pioneer pl 518?

Hi all - has anyone used these:

and if so can you tell me if they are supposed to be rigid? I'm working on a pl-518 that had rotten feet. Customer supplied the above mnpctech which I read are supposed to work well on the 518. But aren't the original feet suspended/dampened by springs? These feet are completely rigid - is that right? Having trouble understanding how these will isolate from vibrations.

I bought the MNPctech feet for my Technics SL-1500C. They have a bit of "give" to them. Plus they look a lot better than the stock ones.

I am guessing the pedestal feet are only to keep the motor cover from bottoming out if the original feet are rotted. The lack of suspension is probably why they are much cheaper than the other models. I made this mistake too.

Those feet are neoprene, non-rigid, and designed to absorb vibration. MOST MnPCTech feet are turned aluminum, with Sorbothane damping.

I will report that I bought these and put them on my PL-518 a few weeks back, and they have done a very good job. There are probably better solutions out there, but on a budget, these seem to be pretty damn good.

I bought a set for the PL-518 I used to own. Improved it. The living room system I used it in, it didn't quite sing with it, I later traded it for the Dual 1019 which lives there several years ago.

If they're solid rubber, they're of no use to me. Only the original design with spring inside isolate the turnable well enough to prevent feedback (beyond a certain volume level) in my systems. There was a guy who offered rebuilds of original PL-518 feet with spring on eBay. I should've grabbed a set when they were available. They were a bit more expensive than the "replacements" commonly marketed but you get what you pay for.

I don't crank my system to superhigh volumes (my listening space is not huge), plus my turntable is sitting on a thick wooden shelf, and I've got isolating material on the feet of the piece of furniture it's sitting on. And in those circumstances, it works just fine.

The original spring-supported feet are basically about like hen's teeth, as I'm sure you know. You'd think someone would make an equivalent today, but I've not found any. Is it possible you could get by with at least moderately higher quality feet than these, maybe in combination with an isolation base like that offered by Fluance?
