Mode switch on the Pas3

Hi All,
I've recently started rehabbing my Pas3 with some Vintage Tube Audio upgrades. VTA offers what I think is a 2 Pole, 6 Position Switch to replace Dynaco's "Rats Nest" mode switch. I'm interested in getting a great mode switch for it. I've found an Elma 04-1264 2 pole 6 position Rotary Switch that might fit the bill but I'm just not sure if the switches are the same type. Sorry about my lack of knowledge on this sort of thing. I'm just getting started with vintage tinkering. Can I replace the "Rats Nest" with the Elma 04-1264 2 pole 6 position Rotary Switch? Thanks for any and all input :)

The original has to go for sure. They bleed like crazy and you just can't get rid of the conductivity of the material (same with the old boards). The thing you want to be sure of for a selector switch is that it is a shorting type, meaning it connects to the next contacts before disconnecting to the set of contacts you are leaving. This prevents annoying and possibly destructive pops. You also want a switch that will ground all the other contacts except the ones you are using. This helps with bleed over too. It would be nice to mount the switch back by the RCAs and have a shaft extension up to the front plate, but you would likely have to fab that yourself (I did).

It looks to me like that switch is a non-shorting which wouldn't be the best selection. I thought curcio or someone was selling a teflon switch for these. I'll have a look at his sight.
