Model 18 lettering

Looks like my 4300 is going to cost more than I expected to repair, gonna have to wait on the glass, but keep me in the loop on the front panels txturbo. Thanks Rich

Hey Txturbo, My tech just let me know the Model 18 is up and running with the new glass and lights! Said it just needed a zener diode and adjustments and the scope works!. If you are still offering one of your possible extra faceplates, please let me know, I think I'm ready now that it works! Hope to get it soon, I'm going to refinish the wood case while I'm waiting and will post pics when it gets here! Thanks Rich

I received a sample back from the metal shop. They are using a champagne anodized plate cut with a laser then laser engraved graphics. The first article needed a couple of tweaks but it looked very nice.

The final version is done and they are adding the double back tape to the parts. I hope to have them tomorrow. I think I should get about 10-20 sets.


This is the first article, the fonts are a bit off. The final should be better.

hello!! nice work!! i recently aquired a 18 model, and i will need the faceplate!!!! if you have one i am interested on it!!!!!!!!! and if you (o someone else) have, i need the input selector knob!!! i'd really apreciate to know about your faceplate. thank you.

TXTurbo, any updates on the face plates? Also, I was going to re-cap some of the 18 once the face plate was in, but was unable to find a suitable set of filter caps, the one's in you parts list were no longer available from Mouser and I checked Digikey also. Any suggestions? Thanks Rich
 
Parts connexion had gold tunes that are a perfect fit, a little shorter than the originals but that's fine.

I did get the new faceplates, I will post a picture once installed. I moved and took all of my stereo stuff to work from the house and it's a bit of a mess at the moment.
 
hello again! could anybody upload a photo with the feets? i recently get a 18 unit but it has no feets. i wish to restore it. And also if anyone can please tell me the measure of the CTR adjustmeent knobs, i'll apreciate that! i have (clons) knobs, it looks like very similar, but i want to know if they can be used in the restoration. Thank you!!

Thank you, it looks like the ones i am searching, unfortunately, the seller don't ship to Mexico. at least could you bring me the feet´s measures? in orden to search for more option..... and if you know the CRT adjustments knob's measures... any help is appreciated. regards
