A couple of years ago,I got a pair of vintage Pickering OA-3 for free. They're in great condition and they look cool. However, the drivers inside these headphones sound awful,so I kept the cans in a drawer and used them a few times as backup headphones for gigs.
Anyhow. I just disassembled them to take a look inside and it appears the drivers are 55mm in diameter. Can anyone point me in the right direction how I can modify these with modern drivers and which drivers I can use? Also,I wouldn't mid swapping the old cord.
