Modifying inputs on old Scott amp

Hi Folks, working on one of these, is there a simple way to modify the "Recorder" input to serve as a second "tuner" input?
I'd like to repurpose the Tape Monitor switch to toggle between inputs. I modified the schematic, just a little unsure about the stereo selector switch stuff.
Thank you --

It seems that the Left and Right channel inputs of the RECORDER and TUNER are in parallel. The RECORDER has a 33k-ohm resistors in series. You'll need to try this line out with a tuner to see if that makes a difference. If it does, maybe you can simply bypass it.

Good luck!

why not just leave the switch alone and bring your extra device into the Playback input? Hit the tape monitor switch and it goes to that regardless of selector switch position.

BTW: The "Recorder" jacks are NOT inputs. They are your record out jacks. That is where you would plug the record circuit of a tape recorder into so that you can record what is playing through the tuner, phono, aux jacks.

Exactly what I would suggest. It has the advantage of doing what you want without modifying a potential valuable piece of equipment.
I'm thinking more that it avoids having to meddle around with the selector switch. I've never done it specifically on a Scott, but I have on other things and its just not any fun. Also they are not super robust and if it gets broken in the process you have real problems.

I think you probably want to reporpose the "CER" input rather than the "recorder", and take it to where the tuner input goes.

Correct me if I misinterpreted, that you're just looking to add another line-level input in your Scott? I'm only just guessing, as Scott did not include many at all, I had one Scott with only one line level input (tuner), and no tape; but it had 3 phono inputs including a ceramic input, which has no value or use these days. It would have been really nice to have at least two line levels.
