Monitor Audio Silver 8i - opinions, specs

There is a pair of Monitor Audio Silver 8i near me for what looks to be a reasonable price. Does anyone have experience with these?

Also, I have seen them listed as both 4 and 8 ohm speakers online. Can anyone confirm which is correct? 8 ohms would be less stress on my vintage amps. Sensitivity is listed consistently at 90db.

I've never heard a pair of Monitor Audio that I didn't like. Have you tried their website for specs? My Silver RS8 towers are 6 ohm.
 
Thanks very much for the feedback. He says they aren't that hard to drive, but of course he wants to sell them, so I want to be sure. I have among other things a Yamaha A-700 which might do the trick.

Re: Monitor's website, I did look there, but that particular model is about 20 years old and isn't archived there.
 
I have the MA 8i's & bought them new I believe in 2001. At the that time I had an HT setup with the 8i's, surround 3i's,10i center speaker & RS W12 sub. I would describe them as being very clear sounding, great highs & mid tones with good bass. Also, they look very pretty sitting in my living room. I now run them with a Yamaha CR-1020 which looks to be a good match also have the MA RS W12 sub. which complements the bass. These are 4Ohm speakers & you can find the specs. on HiFi database. Just google Monitor Audio 8i specs.

Thanks very much for the response, and confirming they are 4ohm (a Google search led to different specs for those but that could be because of the similarity in the Monitor Audio models over the years). I have a Yamaha CR-1020 as well.... Unfortunately it looks like they have sold, but I will confirm with the seller.
