monitor audio speakers model unknowen, can you help?

hi i found these and have never come across them before so i perchased them :-), very very heavy, removed speakers from box and looks very good haevy speakers ,timber boxes ,was just woundering if any one seen some of these before, on back of all speakers have monitor audio england on them,but i can not seem to find model number for specs

Have you looked on the MA website? You could contact them and send a photo. Those are very early models. The timeline on their website does not show that model.

date on speaker it self was 1981,there may beold but sound so good:music: have tryed to contact and looked at web site but no reply

What size is the woofer? If it is a 10" it is the D100/250.
The Dalesford company closed in 1983. They made oem drivers for a number of companies.

yes lovely looking and sound very nice to ,the yellow mid is some kind of kevlar weave cone, very similar to b&w dm7 woofers ,very cool, the twetter is a soft dome and the woofer is what i think a copy of a kef or made by kef or what you said ,had woofer repaired just lately and speaker tech gave me that info ,it needed repair due to the one of the wires that goes from plug to voice coil had broken so nothing big, i use b&w dm2a's as my rears and they sound very good as well

B&W pioneered the use of kevlar as a cone material for the midrange driver in their DM6 "pregnant kangaroo" model in the late 1970's, so its almost certain this mid was sourced from them. Peerless and SEAS were pioneers of high performance soft dome tweeters, so if the tweeters are not of British manufacture I would expect them to be Scandinavian in origin.

With such high quality drivers it's not surprising they sound good! If I ever came across something like that for a low price, I'd grab them in a second!

Dalesford drivers have different specs than Kef drivers Qts. Vas, Bl, Xmas etc.

Dalesford used a completely different motor structure than Kef, the magnets, cone mass and voice coil geometry are far different.

well thats them,i take it they are good tweeters? they sound good ,better then some old phillips tweeters i think lol,thanks for you info
