I am looking at a pair of monitor audio silver 10's. I currently have a klipsch heresy ll and area's in different setups. the silver 10's will be going in a larger room. Does anyone have experience with these speakers and will I like them compared to what I have. Is it worth the extra money to go up to the gold 300's?

I love Monitor Audio speakers. I have not heard the 300's, but the smaller Gold speakers are magical. I do not think you would regret the move to the Golds as long as the rest of your system can stay up with them. Good Luck!

I have the Studio 60s which have a tweeter related to the contemporary C-Cam Gold tweeter on the Silver 10. It is a great tweeter. The Studio 60s were top of the line about 18 years ago. I have heard more expensive speakers, but the Studio 60s beats them all. Based on my experience with the 60s, I am now a brand fan. I have also heard the Heresys many times over the years. Just my opinion, but I don't believe that Klipsch is in the same league. The gold tweeter is extremely detailed without being fatiguing. They are somewhat like an AMT tweeter, but I believe that an AMT would be a little more relaxed sounding ( from what I remember). I have recently heard ribbon speakers on Genesis speakers, and they are also wonderful, but not as detailed as the Gold Tweeter.
