Mono - can we talk mono?

My latest blog upload = General Electric A1-400 12" co-axial in a 1950s DIY tuned pipe corner enclosure

Watch my mono hifi set up playing a Martin Denny tune. :)
The GE A1-400 is driven by a DIY single ended 210 amp with Tamura F7004 output transformer
DIY 6SL7 variable EQ phono preamp + plate choke loaded/triode connected 6C6/6SN7 line stage

How does that corner enclosure work? Any pix of the inside or diagrams of what is going on inside?

You'll find everything about the enclosure on page 18 of the May 1955 issue of Audio magazine, which is also hyperlinked in the GE A1-400 upload.
Thanks, that is cool! I built a faux Wharfdale open back speaker using vintage drivers. Did it sound like a real Wharfdale from the late 50’s? I doubt it. But it sounded cool in my tube mono rig. Now I’m thinking of building one of these. So I could try the same drivers in this versus the fake Wharfdale. Not coaxial. $30 of cheap plywood and drywall screws would do it.

By the way my fake Wharfdale was built so I could swap capacitors and even easily swap tweeters. But when I heard it I just liked it, and lost the motivation to tweak it. I’d build this thing so that the baffle and even total height could be changed with drywall screws and extra panels.

Are you pertaining to the GA Briggs open baffle?

I was influenced by that article, and read everything I could about Wharfdales. This series of posts describes what I did: https://audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/vintage-mono-speaker-project.1021186/#post-16184905

Be warned that what I did was more "Historyphile" than audiophile, and was heavily influenced by "what I had on hand." It was fun though. And these corner tuned triangle enclosures look fun as well.
