So I purchased 2 amps from the original guy who passed away. The Bell 2199 and Eico HF-20, Don “Spider-Man” picked up the 5. I wanted few of them so we made a deal for 12 custom sets of interconnects a few sets of speaker cables and some binding post extenders. The deal was for 2 amps and the speaker. He shows up with the 2 fishers and another Heathkit. Totally made my day!!

It is a blonde Aristocrat. That one of three that I have. The other two are mahogany and walnut--these are the pair I listen to daily. I will probably sell the blonde one soon, maybe for the next Frankenfest.

Last year, I built a prototype of a scaled-down version of my main horns from scraps in my workshop, just to see if it would work reasonably well. It did, with a pretty flat frequency response of 32Hz to 20kHz, using passive crossovers. I'd meant to build a pair, veneer them and trim them out in walnut, but chronic illness precipitated an early, unplanned retirement last January. A couple weeks ago, I set it up in my guest bedroom as a mono rig. It's not pretty, but it sounds lovely.

I picked up 2 new sets of monoblocks over the past few weeks. A set of quicksilver and a set of Heathkit I really like both sets.
