Monoprice and Audio Technica

please be sure to give both of them plenty of break in time. then fill us in on your impressions.
 
I'm sure I'll be right at 30+/- hours later tonight. I usually get 2 to 4 hours every night. This on the A-T 50x. I was hoping to get an album or two on the Monoprice today but wound up doing stuff with family instead. (I ordered a Schiit MAGNI 3 earlier today. But, don't tell anyone yet.) o_O
 
Tada! My Schiit MAGNI 3 arrived just mere moments ago! :banana: Unfortunately, I won't be able to play with it till later... :( I'll post a pic when its all set up.

I do like your self-calling out about pics. I hope the Magni lives up to expectations. Part of me wants to keep getting headphone amps, but I am good with what I have.
 
I see this with a lot of smaller headphone amps; the volume knob is so close to the headphone jack!?!
 
Things went well. Listened to a handful of albums last night. Not having heard other headphone amps, aside from the portable Fiio A3, I can't offer any comparisons. But, it definitely sounds good to me. More albums to come later tonight!
 
Welcome to the hobby dude. I feel happy for you and sorry for your wallet. The headphones and amp you bought are cool.... AND if you can refrain from going online and looking at amps, dacs and headphones you will be very happy with what you bought....otherwise yer screwed... bwhahaha! Let the spending and chasing that perfect sound commence!

In this hobby we all share; looking is the devil.

Truthfully no matter how happy I am I cannot stop myself from wondering what I'm missing. lol I know I'm missing something and I know I need to discover it. I have four headphone amps on my desk alone.....and Ive sold more than that. It never ends dude.
 
I think (aka hope) I'm good for now. I prefer to listen on speakers mainly - the cans were a necessity for late night listening. My fingers are crossed. :blah:
