I'd like to put together a web site featuring all the Classic Monster Receivers with manufacturer's specs exceeding 125 wpc. I need photos, brochures, spec pages, etc. I'm wondering if anyone here would like to work on it with me.

So far I have the following units:

Pioneer SX-1250
Pioneer SX-1280
Hitachi SR-2004
Concept 16.5
Marantz 2325

which I can photograph....but I will need high quality exterior and nudie shots of the others.

I will be happy to include yrly's obscure stuff if he'll provide decent photos.

I have two lists of receivers posted here, one including all receivers of 150 wpc and larger, and another list with all receivers of 100 to 130 wpc.
Do a search, or look back a few pages.

I'm aware of the lists. I want people to able to see what these greats units look like inside and out and get a crack at some of the promtional literature, etc.

made the list, but...

My STA-2100 made the 100-130 list but only has 120wpc, guess it's 5 watts too small:(

If I go under 125 watts, then there's a WHOLE BUNCH of stuff that qualifies and I don't have time for that. I just want the BIG BRUTES.

Give me a couple of days and I will try to get another photo or two of the big Fishers, my black Sansui 990DB, my Project One, the MCS. I can't include the GTE 2600 or Audiograph because I don't know what their intended power output levels were. My camera for some reason can't focus well on distance, it works nicely for extreme closeups. Dunno if the autofocus just does not know what its doing or what, I will try some manually focused stuff. Not gonna be any more internal shots of the Project One though, I don't think I could lift it back off the top of the cabinet where it now resides without some help :( The Fisher RS-1060 I might be able to do one of. With a little luck I might be able to get some better shots.

That would be great, yrly!

I don't understand, I just took a picture of a watch just for the heck of it and it worked fine on the extreme closeup. I dunno if it just isnt focusing right or the photos are being uploaded and blown up to too high a resolution, gonna test this picture here and see how it works.

Seems to expand the photos to a different resolution than what they save in on the hard drive, then they get blurry. Odd. I will work on it later and see what the potential cause is.

It would be nice if some of the members here would contribute some photos or specs, but, so far, nothing!

Well yes you CAN'T increase the resolution to more than the original picture or else it will be pixelated.

Always take pics at the highest resolution and then shrink them if you need to. You can't go the other way.
