Mordaunt Short System 442's in the house!

After some more listening I discovered that one of the midrange elements gave a distorted sound. I have read that it is hard work to dissasemble these speakers but I wanted to give it a try.
It actually wasnt very hard at all. I just peeled of the dustcap to the midrange to get to the metal rod. After that it was just a matter of desolder the wires to the terminals and unscrew the elements. It seemed that the bass and midrange elements were identical so I just swapped places with them. Now the sound is perfect with no bad noices from the midrange. I cant hear that the bass sounds bad because of the lower frequence.
I am very happy
The internal cabling is from Qed which I think is nice.
I have also order new caps for the crossovers. I chose Janrzen z-caps for the tweeter.

After some more googling I happened to find the review from Stereophile .
They write that sensitivity is 87.5db. I thought it was even lower. That explains why they sound so good with only 30 class A watts.
