More Karma Indignias.

I have enjoyed the first pair so much I'm starting my second pair of Karma Indignia's  :

The first pair were made in Japan. The second pair, here, are Korean built. And, by request of tchuck...

Do you have a pic o the original x-overs? Just for the sake of curiosity...

... here is a photo of the drivers, crossover, jack pack and how they all hook up together:

Went down to the local big-box to have baffles cut. Took a piece of 5/8" shelving 4' long to the lumber guy. I asked to have two pieces cut to 9-13/16" x 15-13/16". The guy said, "13/16"? What's that close to?". I said, "It's a little less than 7/8"".

I got a 'little more' than 7/8".

Any wonder why we are being eatin' alive by the rest of the world?
Nice work and good luck with the project.
Happy listening.

RayW delivered a pair of pre-cut baffles and now my second set of Indignia's are finished!!!

I was looking for something different in terms of the look of the baffles. I'm not sure I like this "camo/tribal" look, or not. But, this is how I did it- lots of masking, cutouts and spray paint. Finally some steel wool and matte finish spray paint:

Checking the drivers and crossovers before installing them in the baffles:

So far, compared with the originals set, they sound a little light on the really "deep" bass. Maybe that's because the woofers haven't broken in yet... Whatever it is they sure sound better than the MC-1000's they were before!

RayW gave me serial numbers 97 and 98 in the original Indignia thread. Ray, your check is in the mail. I'm a happy rocker!

Inspiring. I tried my hand at modding a pair of wharfedale W25's. I replaced caps with as close to factory as I could then I found suitable replacments for the drivers (all 4 drivers where completely obliterated. Well I ended up with brilliant beautiful highs which were completely drowned out by the mud the woofer was putting out. I have been trying to figure out what to do.... Well..... Here it is. The speakers themselves are beautiful so finally I'm going to make them sound as they should.... Or maybe I'm going to baby ewave them.....HMMMMM chocies. Thanks Blast!
