I bought these used back in '96 with a NAD 2200, Adcom GTP preamp, and a Sony changer. The original owner bought them with the other equipment, he said, so I'd assume they are from that era. They sound really good... I'd forgotten how good; they are at my house in NC, and I'm rarely there to use them. I'd like to know a bit more about them, though. They have no model numbers or other identifying marks, other than the Morel labels. Each has an 8" woofer, dome tweeter, and an unusual dome midrange. It looks like it has some sort of horn arrangement around it, and the dome is quite large.

I believe they're MLP-403's. Unfortunately, that's all I know about them. Though, they look nice, and that midrange dome is impressive.

Bingo! Thanks for that. I've searched quite a bit online and didn't come up with much. The woofer in the pic definitely needs new foam, and I'll do that once I get them to CA. The cabinets are in nice shape except for a corner split on one. I'll take care of that, too. It seems like these are well-respected and should be keepers. The sound reminds me a bit of ADS - must be the domes - but seems a bit more mellow. The definitely work well with that NAD amp.
