That's a negatory; Ry Cooder's Bop 'til You Drop was "Rock's first digitally recorded album" (and the sticker on the front of the LP says exactly that).

Check out - The National "Cardinal Song". An amazing band. There is something about the tempo and sound to this song that gets me every time.
